Rocky represents an array of clients involved in the commercial motor vehicle industry, including motor carriers, 3PLS, transportation intermediaries, and insurers. He provides regional and nationwide guidance on insurance coverage, cargo/freight claims, commercial litigation matters, collections/contract disputes, and FMCSA and state regulatory compliance and permitting. Highlighting his proactive approach to client services, he serves as an advisor to many of his clients, providing guidance on potential legal issues before they arise. In this capacity, he has experience serving as outside in-house counsel for a national last-mile freight broker and an interstate motor carrier. Regardless of the nature of the legal issue at hand, Rocky always focuses on the client's goals first, then crafts his approach to meet those needs.
While in law school, he was on the editorial board of the South Carolina Law Review and earned Order of the Coif and Order of the Wig and Robe honors.

Outside the Office
Originally from Macon, Georgia, Rocky has resided in Greenville, South Carolina since 2011. He has not completely given up his Georgia roots though, as his practice frequently involves matters pending in Georgia state and federal courts. While the common saying advises against taking your work home with you, Rocky likely would disagree. Rocky met his wife, Allison, while in law school and coincidentally both their practices involve the transportation industry. One can only imagine the lively dinner table discussions this produces. Together they have three children and are active members of Christ Church Episcopal in Greenville. Rocky previously participated in Opportunity Greenville and currently serves as the co-chair of the Risk Management Council of the National Home Delivery Association. Outside of work and family, Rocky’s hobbies include playing golf and any other activity that allows him to enjoy the beauty of the great outdoors.
